Our Transitional Sober Housing Program

We offer two unique sober programs designed to meet different needs. Our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) Facility is co-ed and offers 24-hour support to both men and women. This housing program includes intensive mental health and substance use treatment. Residents stay in residential treatment for 30-90 days.

Our Transitional Living Program is for men over the age of 18. This sober living MN program helps clients transition from intensive treatment to independent living. Residents build life skills, pursue education or career goals, and strengthen their recovery foundation in a structured yet flexible environment.

Phases of Sober Transitional Living

Phases of Sober Transitional Living

In Transitional Living, we use a three-phase approach that gradually increases independence and responsibility:

Phase 1

Early recovery can make simple tasks feel overwhelming. Our staff provides close guidance and support to help residents build confidence and establish healthy routines. This foundation phase focuses on stabilization and initial skill development.

Phase 2

Residents gain more independence while continuing to strengthen their recovery foundation. They access career resources, develop job skills, and create action plans for their future. This phase helps build confidence through achieving personal goals and taking on increased responsibility.

Phase 3

The final phase prepares residents for independent living. By this stage, residents have built strong recovery foundations and developed the skills needed to live independently. We provide ongoing support and resources to ensure continued success beyond our program.

Both programs include group meetings where residents connect with peers facing similar struggles. Our therapeutic communities provide essential support and accountability throughout every stage of the recovery process.

Recovery Homes That Minnesota Residents Choose

Our recovery houses in Minnesota provide the perfect blend of clinical support and comfortable living. We take a holistic and person-focused approach that utilizes evidence-based treatment and prioritizes the mind, body, and spirit.

Residents live in well-appointed homes with modern amenities, private outdoor spaces, and 24-hour support. From individual counseling to activities like yoga and group therapy, Minnesota residents receive everything they need for their recovery journey.

The Recovery Academy’s Transitional program stands out among sober houses because here, we focus on long-term success rather than short-term fixes. Our approach helps men build the skills and confidence needed for meaningful healing and lasting recovery.
