Recovery of Mind, Body & Spirit

Mind, Body & Spirit

Recovery is Possible Through The Mind, Body & Spirit

The Recovery Academy uses a holistic, community-focused model that incorporates clinical work while building a foundation of overall wellness – healing of the mind, body, and soul during recovery. This overarching approach teaches men how to thrive in life-long recovery through structure and accountability, skill building, and positive social connection.

What Is The Mind, Body & Spirit Model?

In terms of treatment and recovery, the Mind, Body & Spirit methodology takes an approach that goes beyond addressing the symptoms of your substance use disorder. Instead of simply putting your family members and loved ones through a treatment program that addresses triggers and ways to stay clean, The Recovery Academy takes an extra, personalized step.

We apply the methodology of mind, body & soul to our recovery housing program through nutrition, physical activity, and building social connections. By helping each of our clients adapt to every day and stressful situations they might encounter outside of our program, we extend their chances of staying sober even longer.

A Program For Your Mind, Body & Spirit in Minneapolis

Stepping out into the world during recovery can be intimidating and overwhelming for someone suffering from a substance abuse disorder. To ease the transition, The Recovery Academy is here to support your loved ones in our sober living program. Not only will your loved one be supported by trained professionals who take a whole-body approach to recovery, but fellow peers in our recovery program as well.

The Recovery Academy offers much more than just your average sober living program. Beyond mental health and physical health care, we offer structure that can be applied in every participant’s day-to-day life once they finish our program.

I’d been through treatment a couple of times before The Recovery Academy. To be honest, I got tired of being in the group all the time during treatment. At The Recovery Academy, we had a ton of structure to our day, but we did more than “group therapy.” We got to do fun outings and go to the gym together. What is more, RA helped me find meaning and purpose. At other programs, I was always forced to find a “sober job”, which just made me only feel worse about myself. RA helped me get back into school, I visited multiple campuses in person with staff, and they assisted in the application process. RA helped me with everything from calling and getting transcripts sent to helping me buy my textbooks. For the first time in my recovery, I truly love what a sober future looks like. I couldn’t have done it without the support from RA.”

I take a tremendous amount of pride in the work we do at The Recovery Academy. When a person enters our program, they become a part of our family, one that walks with them as they trudge the roads of early recovery to a life of freedom and happiness.
